Is there a placement test?

No — there is currently no placement test. Instead, you can choose the JLPT level that best matches your ability when you start.

If you find that the material is too easy or too difficult, you can reset your progress at any time and switch to a different chapter or level. This flexibility allows you to find the right starting point without needing a formal test.
